The great ICT Debate
IWBs: a fantastic teaching tool or non-interactive white elephant?
with Pete Sharma and Gavin Dudeney

Interactive whiteboards (IWBs) have been around for a long time now. Few technologies have attracted such controversy. For some, they are a powerful teaching aid, while for others they are nothing more than an expensive waste of space, hopefully soon to RIP. Join us for this fascinating debate on the merits and future of the interactive whiteboard!
Biodata
Pete Sharma works a lecturer and teacher trainer. His last book as co-author was '400 Ideas for Interactive Whiteboards' (Macmillan 2011) and his next e-book is on Apps for business English (The Round Forthcoming 2013). He fell in love with IWBs some years ago, and is delighted to use one whenever he can get his (hot) hands on one!
Gavin Dudeney trains teachers to use technologies. His latest book (with Nicky Hockly and Mark Pegrum) - Digital Literacies - is published by Pearson in March 2013. His antipathy to IWBs has been well-documented over the past seven years, but he looks forward to saying it all again!
