Information:

Pete Sharma works as a Lecturer at Oxford Brookes University, UK, and on pre-sessional EAP courses at Warwick University. He is a freelance author, teacher trainer and consultant. He worked for many years in business English. Pete is a regular conference presenter at IATEFL, TESOL and BESIG. He took his Masters in Educational Technology and ELT at Manchester University.



Pete has written several books on technology in language teaching: CD-ROM: A Teacher's Handbook (1998 Summertown Publishing); The Internet and Business English (2003 Summertown Publishing), with co-author Barney Barrett (Highly Commended in the Duke of Edinburgh English Speaking Union awards) and Blended Learning: using technology in and beyond the language classroom (Macmillan 2007).



Pete's writing includes CD-ROMs for Macmillan's In Company series; a regular Business English e-lesson with subscribers worldwide; the Learning Technologies page for the IATEFL BESIG Issues newsletter (as co-author) and the 'Reviews in brief' page in the EL Gazette. Pete is also member of the Macmillan Dictionary Advisors Committee.



Pete's interests include exploring the pedagogical value of new technologies, travel and films.
